LANRE OLABISI (Writer/Director)

Lanre Olabisi has made two feature films -- August the First and Somewhere in the Middle both of which are distributed by Film Movement. Combined, his films have screened at over 75 film festivals around the world including the SXSW and the Karlovy Vary. His work has won the top prize in ten international film festivals and has also been nominated for an IFP Gotham Award as well as a Black Reel Award.

Lanre’s latest short film, A Storybook Ending, is based on his feature film screenplay of the same name which is currently in development. Most recently, Lanre was selected as a fellow for the HBOAccess Directing Program.

TIFFANY SMILE (Producer)

Tiffany Smile (yes, that’s her real name) is an independent producer from Brooklyn, NY. Tiffany worked as a creative consultant on the feature film Somewhere in the Middle and produced the short film A Storybook Ending. She is currently writing a pilot entitled My White Friend about a young Black couple living in Brooklyn who are struggling with infertility and will do anything for a baby, but when My White Friend shows up at their door, they get the child that they wanted but never expected. Tiffany loves living in the Big Apple with her husband and five plants.

ROSS VEDDER (Producer)

Ross Vedder is a filmmaker from Austin, Texas. Originating from the world of movie trailers, Ross’s editing works have garnered numerous accolades, including nominations at the Golden Trailers and the Clio Design Awards. He has produced and collaborated on a wide array of independent film projects, with works screening at numerous film festivals, including SXSW, Woodstock, Atlanta, and Woods Hole. Ross currently lives in New York City where he is in development on his next comedic short about a young couple whose toxic relationship accidentally creates an inter-dimensional black hole in their living room. PIERO BASSO, AIC (Cinematographer)

Piero Basso was born in northern Italy, Piero Basso moved to NYC in 2008. During his career, Piero has photographed 16 feature films, a number of TV series, documentaries, short films and commercials.

His work has screened at some of the most prestigious film festivals around the globe, including Venice (Competition), Locarno (Competition), Cannes (Semaine de la Critique), Berlin (Fipresci Award as best feature film), Oberhausen (Competition), Clermont-Ferrant, and several others.In 2009 he was invited to join the AIC, the exclusive Italian Association of Cinematographers.
